Wirral Aquarius Swimming Club and Swim Scheme have the use of Leasowe Recreation Centre's two pools. The training pool which is 12.5 meters long and is used by beginners to gain water confidence as part of the highly regarded swim scheme. The large pool which is our competition pool is 25 meters long and has 6 lanes.

In addition there is a comfortable and large spectation area, easy parking, easy road access and a structured coaching and administration organisation making Wirral Aquarius the successful club it is.

Small pool

Below is the small pool, which the club uses for its swim scheme and training sessions for children gaining water confidence and stroke basics.
The pool is 12.5m by 12.5m. It goes from steps to 0.9m deep

Big pool

The big pool is used for more able swimmers to train and it is also used for competitions.

The pool is 25m long and 12.5m wide. The depth varies from 0.9m in the shallow end to 2m in the deep end. During most training sessions the pool is divided into 6 lanes as it is for competition.

Overlooking the pool is a large spectating area which has a capacity for approximately 300 people.

Leasowe Recreation Centre

As well as the training pools WASC have access to all the facilities of the leisure centre, these include two indoor sports areas that can be used for 5 a-side and badminton.

There is also a fitness suit and weights room. As well as the indoor facilities there are also the fields around the centre which fit a number of 11 a-side football pitches.
